Day 1
Depart North Wales and travel towards our hotel in the outskirts of Sheffield. (3 nights stay at the Mercure Kenwood Hall Hotel)
Day 2
This morning we'll enjoy the highlight of the tour, a visit to Chatsworth House and Gardens, the magnificent home of the Devonshire family, which has appeared in period dramas. This afternoon's 'Hidden Villages' half-day step-on guided tour takes us to some of the most charming locations in Derbyshire.
Day 3
This morning we visit Crich Tramway Village, a period village museum where we can enjoy travelling along the traditional village street on a vintage tram and viewing the exhibitions. We head to the nearby Three Horseshoes pub where we tuck into homemade pie, mash and peas with tea and coffee before we enjoy a visit to the popular market town of Chesterfield, dominated by the famous crooked Church spire.
Day 4
Depart for home.
Mercure Kenwood Hall Hotel ****
Built around a 19th Century Hall with modern extensions, the hotel is located in a pleasant leafy suburb of Sheffield, has a lovely ornamental lake and views across to the Derbyshire Dales.
