View Dates & BookOur tour is based in the traditional highland village of Newtonmore, a hidden gem nestled in the folds of the Spey Valley at the southern gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. On this tour, we step back in time at the open-air Highland Folk Museum, where we experience life in the Highlands from the 1700s to the 1950s. This is followed by a relaxing rail journey on the Strathspey Steam Railway
This tour includes:
· 4 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
· Small glass of wine after dinner on 1st night
· Live musical entertainment on 1 night
· Entrance to Highland Folk Museum
· Rail journey on the Strathspey Railway
Day 1
We travel to Newtonmore (4 nights stay at The Highlander Hotel)
Day 2
Day tour to Inverness and The Spey Valley.
Day 3
Morning tour of Pitlochry.
Day 4
After breakfast we step back in time at the open-air Highland Folk Museum. This afternoon we head off for a return journey on the Strathspey Steam Railway from Aviemore to Broomhill, taking in glorious views of heather-clad moors, Caledonian forest and the Spey River.
Day 5
We return home via Gretna Green.
